I intend to write a weekly blog sharing my knowledge and 18 years' experience as a auto electrician. I aim to provide a high level of service as well as providing as much information to people visiting my site as I can.
I will be sharing with you some of the more basic and easy fixes on different makes and models. I will also be sharing some of the more complex faults that I encounter on modern vehicles, and the the rapid changes to the industry I've seen over the past few years.
I will also be talking about the need for up to date diagnostic equipment and the various interfaces, laptops and software needed to keep up as a non manufacturer organization. Vehicles are rapidly becoming more and more electric with charging stations popping up at supermarkets and car parks. Soon it will not be possible to repair your vehicle without specialist equipment. In some instances even after changing the battery the vehicle needs to be programmed to recognize this before it will start. Engine management, abs, airbag, body controllers, door modules and many other control units found in cars need programming before the correct output is achieved.
I hope any information I can share with you on my blog will be of help, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you!
